Waste & Trash Instructions

To help us keep the apartment clean and environmentally friendly, please follow these guidelines:

• Kitchen waste:
  A small waste bin is located under the kitchen sink. Please use this for your daily trash.

• Taking out the trash:
  When the bin is full (or before check-out), please tie the bag securely and take it to the large waste container outside the front door on the ground floor.

• Recycling (Faroe Islands):
  Waste sorting in the Faroe Islands is simple:

  • General waste: Most household waste goes in the main bin.

  • Glass & bottles: Please keep separate if possible and dispose of them in designated glass containers (often located around town).

  • Cans & plastic bottles (with deposit): These can be returned to supermarkets for a refund.

  • Cardboard & paper: If you have larger amounts, feel free to leave them neatly aside or take them to a recycling station.

• General tips:

  • Please do not leave trash inside the apartment.

  • Always close bags properly before disposing of them.

  • If unsure about sorting, it is perfectly fine to use the main waste bin.
